I’m wrapping up my book and debating whether I should invest in professional editing or just rely on self-editing techniques. I’ve used Grammarly, ProWritingAid, and beta readers, but I’m not sure if that’s enough.

Barter. Books Publishers offers editing services, and I’m considering giving them a try. But is professional affordable Book Editing services really worth it? Have any of you self-edited successfully and published without hiring an editor?

Would love to hear from both perspectives—self-editors and those who have worked with professionals. What’s your advice?
